Thanks, Jules. Night is an ideal place to read, with the quiet feeling like it's enveloping you. More silence, hearing subtle sounds at great distances. Night gives us magic powers.

I like the mood of this piece. Reminds me of how night can indeed enfold you when you can't sleep but have an absorbing book to read. Sleeplessness is not always a negative experience. Thanks, I really enjoyed this.

I’m not surprised that Jules was here before me! She gets around.

I love this, as sometimes these feelings leave us for a while. Really thoughtful.

So your up from 10... but then it gets light... at like 7...

You need to get up about 30 min before sunset.. .where it looks like a dawn... you go out side and your body thinks YAY dawn ! Sun!! and then SMASH its gone.. .that will set the tone ... with the crash of brain chemicals... so you can go full noir...

Its only going to work well in winter up north... or way south... otherwise you will have to deal with the sun... we may have to move to Alaska or Antarctica for winter.. .

I used to get up at 3pm ... and go to bed at 6am. In California ... Just because I was stuck on my 11 Am - 3 am NZ schedule. I found out it was a thing... but exacerbated by too much coffees and not enough sun.

Thank you, Mary. Things that go together: night, jazz, books.
