Over here, this alleyway leads to a place called Dreamsville. A destination worth heading for, and for some lucky ducks – arriving at. Your choice. Flip a coin. Change your luck. Picture this: waking up in another city on a different day. Just as if your life was reset, and you were a month, or even a year in the future. The day you’d been in got up and just strolled away. Let’s say you awaken in a hotel room off to the side of Times Square. Blinking at the flowery curtains, you try and remember what you did the night before, but yesterday’s more than a million miles away. In the corner of the room is a TV with dials and a picture turned to snow. A car horn honks 22 flights below, playing one note in an impromptu Midtown song about nothing. Nothing. Which always leads to something. Two choices present themselves to your mind: Your past lives in snapshots and smoke rings, and the future is always around the next corner. Inside the first elevator going down, you glance up at the ceiling, and in walks the rest of your life. You decide to greet your future with open arms, see what happens.
