Make It to Tomorrow
Demons, dreams, drink – downtown alleyways always offer one or the other. Pick your poison, as they say. Well, they sure say a lotta shit, don’t they. Desperate ones, rabid ones, the unseen ones – they look for low hanging fruit, and you’ve got to step lively if you want to make it to tomorrow. It’s a danger-filled time in Noir Town, and getting one’s ticket punched is about as easy as whistling a tune off key. So, listen to me, and keep your peepers wide open, is what I’m telling you. Tomorrow is a land a lot of travelers never get to, and I know from whence I speak. Waking up every morning in this lifetime isn’t a done deal, but it’s sure worth trying for. Close your eyes and trust me, this is the time of night when all or nothing rings true, so listen to your ticker and clam up when walking past those with steely eyes. This is your shot at life, so take it and stick with what you wanna do, gotta do, gonna do. Yeah, yeah, I know. You came to this town to make it, just believe me when I say the best way to make it here is to make it through one night at a time.
