A Declaration of Interdependence #5
We the People view President Zelensky for what he is – a hero.
We the People declare we recognize and support President Zelensky as a world leader, and a champion of his people and of democracy.
We the People are standing up as a unified front against all those who are dismantling our constitution, freedom, and democracy.
We the People stand up proudly for Ukraine, a democracy that was brutally invaded, and continues to be brutally attacked by Russia.
We the People are holding rallies in support of Ukraine in Times Square, in front of the White House, on the Boston Commons, in Seattle along the waterfront, and in downtown Los Angeles.
We the People declare dictatorships control the media, and democracies do not.
We the People aren’t surprised at how quickly the entire world has mobilized in support of President Zelensky and Ukraine.
Ukraine showed the world how to stand up and fight for democracy.
We the People have a message for the world – what you saw happening in the Oval Office on Friday, 28 February, doesn’t represent most of the American people.
We the People declare our minds are untouched by the daily streams of bullshit propaganda spewed from this current administration, and we are standing up against a fascist takeover of the United States of America.
We the People deserve a courageous and empathetic leader who stands up for We the People.
We the People declare if you constantly ignore court orders, you are running a rogue government.
We the People witnessed the shameful spectacle broadcast from the Oval Office where a sitting president bowed down to the leadership of Russia. The entire world saw what just happened, and it is as disgusted and appalled as we are.
We the People stand with President Zelensky, who stayed composed and held his ground against America’s Russian assets.
We the People are interdependent upon and with each other, from sea to shining sea.
We the People declare this is our time, and our moment to make our country finally and fully live up to its ideals.
We the People declare when you threaten the free press, you are showing exactly how un-American you are.
We the People declare we are ashamed to our core at this administration. The whole world saw our shame on full display.
We the People believe in our democracy, and are daily pushing back against authoritarianism, fascism, autocratic rule.
We the People declare it’s time to undo, fix, repair – all the destruction that’s been done to our government, by an unelected billionaire and his crew.
We the People declare this new administration has gutted the federal workforce, and contributed nothing to the United States except chaos, hate, and division.
We the People seek solace in nature, community, and art.
We the People declare a leader who speaks nothing but lies, propaganda, and bullshit isn’t the type of leader who cares about America.
We the People declare we are creating a version of America that’ll have rock-solid safeguards that’ll prevent a repeat of those who do their damndest to destroy our country from within.
Wonderfully written with a lovely rebellious tone. Rise up and be counted indeed.
Well said, Russell. Trump's response to Zelensky I think was a wake-up call to many, and I too am heartened by Europe's full-throated defense and embrace of Zelensky and the people of Ukraine.
